WindShare at Planet In FocusOn November 4th, WindShare partnered with the Planet in Focus: International Environmental Film & Video Festival to present a panel on the controversial topic of nuclear power in Ontario. WindShare Board Member and Lakewind Power President Ed Hale participated in the "Clean Power in Ontario?" panel, and answered questions about a 'clean' energy future. Despite the determined efforts of a nuclear power union representative, conservation and renewables were the words of the day. Clips of the panel will be posted soon... Also at Planet in Focus, WindShare member, Niagara Escarpment advocate and multi-talented artist Sarah Harmer participated in a "Preserving Our Greenbelt" panel after a screening of her 2006 summer walking tour diary "Escarpment Blues".
